Annalise & Mitch’s Countryside Wedding at Bunnyconnellen
There’s something undeniably magical about a countryside wedding - wide open skies, towering gum trees, and that quiet sense of calm that only comes from being surrounded by nature. Annalise and Mitch’s wedding at Bunnyconnellen was exactly that: relaxed, romantic, and beautifully personal.
Set amongst rolling paddocks and sweeping views of the countryside, their day blended modern romance with garden-inspired whimsy, creating a wedding that felt both elegant and completely effortless.

A Colour Palette Inspired by the Landscape
Annalise and Mitch opted for a unique and layered colour palette that felt perfectly at home in the rural setting. Soft dusky purples mingled with earthy tones of orange and brown, balanced with delicate whites, softer pinks and deeper touches of burgundy.
The result was a palette that felt rich, romantic and slightly wild, echoing the natural tones of the surrounding paddocks and bushland.
Seasonal textures played a big role in bringing the palette to life. We were so excited to source smoke-bush foliage and flannel flower - a particular favourite of Annalise - which added softness, movement and a beautiful natural texture throughout the florals.
These elements helped create arrangements that felt organic and relaxed rather than overly structured, perfectly suited to the countryside setting.

A Ceremony Beneath the Gum Trees
One of the most memorable moments of the day was the ceremony space beneath a sweeping gum tree, where the landscape itself became part of the design.
Rather than a traditional arbour, we created a tree-wrapped floral installation, allowing the florals to climb naturally around the trunk and extend outward into the surrounding space. Layers of seasonal blooms, textural foliage and trailing elements gave the installation a slightly wild, garden-grown feel - as though it had always belonged there.
With rolling paddocks stretching out behind them, Annalise and Mitch exchanged vows surrounded by nature, their florals blending seamlessly with the environment.
It was understated, romantic, and incredibly beautiful.

Garden-Inspired Bouquets
Annalise’s bouquet reflected the same relaxed, textural style seen throughout the day.
Soft flannel flowers, delicate daisies, dusky mauves, garden roses and airy seasonal blooms created a bouquet that felt light, natural and full of movement. Warm apricot tones and deeper burgundy notes added depth, while smoke bush provided that signature soft, cloud-like texture.
The bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets in the same palette, tying everything together while still allowing Annalise’s bouquet to feel just a little extra special.

A Warm and Intimate Reception
As the day moved into the reception, the florals shifted into a slightly moodier tone while still keeping that garden-inspired softness.
Inside the rustic reception space at Bunnyconnellen, tables were dressed with natural linens, warm-toned napkins and delicate floral centrepieces that echoed the colours from the ceremony.
Overhead installations added drama and softness to the space, allowing flowers and foliage to cascade gently from the ceiling. The mix of dusky purples, warm terracotta tones and soft whites created a reception atmosphere that felt romantic, intimate and beautifully relaxed.
It was the perfect setting for long tables, shared meals, and plenty of laughter as the evening unfolded.
