An Evening in Roma

There are events… and then there are experiences.
This one? Pure la dolce vita.

Hosted at Lightspace, An Evening in Roma was a full sensory escape - think long-table dining, rich drapery, candlelight flickering into the night and a colour palette that felt like it had been plucked straight from a Roman trattoria at golden hour.

From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this wasn’t going to be your average event.

A Love Letter to Italian Dining

The brief was simple in theory: Italian-inspired, abundant, warm, a little bit indulgent.
In reality? It became something so much more layered.

Long tables stretched through the space, dressed in custom-illustrated linens (courtesy of the ever-talented Sage by Annalise), scattered with hand-drawn motifs of wine bottles, tomatoes, and playful nods to famiglia and festa. It set the tone immediately - relaxed, inviting, and deeply considered.

We leaned into that story with florals that felt lush but unfussy.
Velvety red roses took centre stage, paired with seasonal berries and textural greenery, creating arrangements that felt equal parts romantic and a little bit dramatic (the good kind).

And then came the produce - plump tomatoes, glossy capsicums, clusters of grapes and strings of chilli - woven through the tables like a still life painting you could almost reach out and taste.

The Details That Made It

It’s always the small moments that elevate a space, and this event was full of them.

Tiny pleated lamps casting the softest glow across place settings.
Layered glassware catching candlelight from every angle.
Menus and signage in warm, tonal reds that tied everything together seamlessly.

Even the seating chart felt like a piece of art - oversized, tactile, and effortlessly cool.

Every detail worked together to create that feeling we’re always chasing: immersive, but never overdone.

Draped in Romance

If you looked up, the magic continued (courtesy of the amazing Avideas ).

Billowing red fabric cascaded across the ceiling, transforming the industrial bones of Lightspace into something entirely transportive. Paired with soft pendant lighting, the whole room glowed - warm, intimate, and just a little bit cinematic.

It was giving midnight dinner in Rome, and honestly… we’re still not over it.

A Feast to Match

Of course, no Italian-inspired evening would be complete without the food - and Sorella absolutely delivered.

A pasta bar (yes, really), rich, flavourful dishes, and that unmistakable sense of generosity that Italian dining does so well. It wasn’t just a meal - it was part of the atmosphere, part of the storytelling.

The kind of night where glasses stay full, conversations linger, and no one is in a hurry to leave.

Final Thoughts

An Evening in Roma was everything we love about what we do - creative collaboration, bold storytelling, and spaces that make people feel something.

A little romantic.
A little indulgent.
And completely transportive.

Honestly… if this is what Rome feels like, we’re ready to book a one-way ticket.
