Meagan & Jaxson at The Bower Estate - Modern, Romantic and Effortlessly Cool
Joyful, considered, and completely their own - Meagan and Jaxson’s wedding at The Bower Estate is the kind of day we think about long after the flowers are gone.
Meagan and Jaxson’s wedding at The Bower Estate in the Gold Coast Hinterland had that rare quality where everything - the venue, the flowers, the styling, the couple themselves, felt completely aligned. Not try-hard. Not overdone. Just considered, joyful, and genuinely beautiful from start to finish.
The Bower Estate sits in that sweet spot of lush green hillside and mountain backdrop that the Gold Coast Hinterland does so well. Open sky, rolling green, and the kind of light that makes every photograph look like it was planned. For a couple with a clear aesthetic vision and a brief built around modern romance, it was exactly the right setting.

The palette - pink in every register
Meagan’s palette was a study in how to do pink without it ever feeling predictable. Soft blush, warm cream, bright hot pink and magenta, with dark ornamental grasses threaded through to add depth and stop the whole thing from reading as sweet. It was feminine and bold in equal measure, and it photographed beautifully against all that green.
The contrast between the softness of the blush and the punch of the magenta dahlias is what made this palette so interesting. Neither tone dominated. They played off each other across the whole day: ceremony, reception, bouquet - in a way that felt completely cohesive.

The ceremony - Acrylic plinths and open sky
The ceremony setting at The Bower Estate is one of those backdrops that genuinely takes your breath away. An open hillside with mountain views and nothing overhead but sky. For a space like this, the vessel choice matters enormously. Get it wrong and the arrangements compete with the landscape. Get it right and they become part of it.
We chose clear acrylic plinths - four of them, arranged in two pairs either side of the ceremony position, because the transparency lets the landscape show through rather than blocking it. The arrangements sitting on top were abundant and textured: blush and hot pink garden roses, magenta dahlias, white delphiniums, white and pink calla lilies, ranunculus, anthurium, and dark ornamental grasses giving movement and drama throughout.
Grounded arrangements at the base of the ceremony position brought the florals down to earth level too, so the whole space felt framed from ground to sky without anything overhead interrupting that mountain view.
The bouquet - modern and considered
Meagan’s bouquet was a smaller modern structured arrangement: soft pink calla lilies, parrot tulips, anemones, ranunculus, hellebores and fresh green anthuriums carrying through that same tonal range in a more intimate scale. Loose enough to feel alive, considered enough to feel intentional.
The buttonhole was a single blush pink calla lily. Simple, elegant, and completely right against the black tux.

The reception - fairy lights and candlelight
Inside the clear span marquee, the reception had a warmth and magic that’s hard to manufacture and impossible to fake. Fairy lights strung through the clear roof caught the darkening sky outside as the evening came in. Long tables ran the length of the space, lined with abundant candles in varying heights and a mix of floral arrangements that kept the eye moving without ever feeling busy.
The bridal table was lush and low - soft arrangements in blush and pink spreading across the table surface, with generous candlelight doing the rest. The cake table photo moment was created by re-purposing arbour pieces from the ceremony, which helped tie the whole day together.
By the time the evening was fully in, the marquee glowed. It was the kind of reception room that makes guests stop in the doorway.
